Area Clogging Groups

Backwoods Cloggers

We are a fun loving family based group from the western New York region. Clogging is a form of percussive dance that is upbeat, fun, and a great work out! We offer classes on tuesday nights. Our dancers come from all around the Arcade area.

Barn Shakers

Barn Shakers is a non-performing, just for fun, get some exercise, hang with friends dance class and group.  Class offerings begin in September, January and April.   Dances are taught step by step (no pun intended) and each step is called out so you don't have to memorize the dance sequence.

Blue Ribbon Cloggers

We do Appalachin-style clogging in Upstate New York. Please call if you want more information on having us at your event or to take lessons. 607-286-7666

City Stompers

Megan Downes grew up dancing in New York City's traditional Irish music community before moving south to work with one of the best bluegrass bands in the country as a principal dancer with Footworks Percussive Dance Ensemble. Megan is now the Artistic Director of New York's City Stompers, calling squares and teaching old-time flatfooting.

Country Classic Cloggers

The Country Classic Cloggers have been together for over fifteen years. We originated from the legendary Georgia Piney Wood Cloggers directed by Don and Sylvia Rakestraw. Sheila Bellamy instructed under them and eventually broke off and made her own team...Country Classic.

Drew Crew Cloggers

The Drew Crew Cloggers came into being in April, 2009 and have since performed many shows across the North Country. At present membership is approximately 30 ranging in age from 5 to 70 and all skill levels.

Erie Canal Cloggers

The Erie Canal Cloggers are based in the historic village of Jordan NY just 15 miles west of Syracuse on the Old Erie Canal and it was formed in 1994 by Richard Hawker, Dale Burl, and the late “Phylla Mae” Antos.  We teach and perform a lively, foot-stomping, hand clapping variety of numbers danced to traditional, country and even modern pop and rock music.

Kickin' Rythm Cloggers

Kickin’ Rhythm Cloggers is a community of dancers and non-dancers from Western New York dedicated to keeping the American dance tradition of clogging alive. Our mission is to provide quality clogging instruction and enjoyable, wholesome, family-oriented entertainment; to promote self-esteem, build self-confidence and develop relationships. Our goal is to assist all dancers to be the best they can be.

Lakeside Country Cloggers

Lakeside Country Cloggers is a performance team based in the Rochester, New York area. They have been together since March 1989, and entertain at many nursing homes, festivals and special events.  These dancers keep up to date by attending local conventions and constantly update their program to add new routines and ideas.

Lehigh Valley Cloggers

The Lehigh Valley Cloggers are a non-profit group dedicated to promoting the art of clogging.  We practice in Washington, NJ but perform and educate in eastern PA and northern NJ. Our members range in age from 5 to 75, and new members are always welcome (no experience necessary!).

Ontario Rhythm Cloggers

The Ontario Rhythm Cloggers is the oldest Clogging group in Ontario. Founded in 1978, it was responsible for the increase in popularity of Clogging in the area at the time and was instrumental in the foundation of several other groups in the following years.

Rhonda's FooteWorks
